Gio Ponti was an Italian architect, industrial designer, furniture designer, artist, and publisher. He graduated in Architecture at the Regio Istituto Tecnico Superiore di Milano, in 1921 opened a studio with Mino Fiocchi and Emilio Lancia. He debuted as a designer in 1923 participating in the Biennial of Decorative Arts in Monza.
Endowed with great vitality and imagination, plus the architecture, design intereza furniture, fixtures, machinery, lamps, textiles, ceramics, glass, it presents exhibitions and plays. From 1923 to 1930 Ponti worked in the Manifattura Ceramica Richard Ginori in Milan. In 1928 he founded the magazine “Domus” where he remained as editor until his death.
